Yellow Sweatpants

Yellow sweatpants make great pajamas, work out or athletic clothes, and general attire for lounging around. They can be worn at home or at the gym, and are commonly seen worn by athletes whose team colors include yellow. Colorful to look at and comfortable to wear, yellow sweatpants are vibrant, relaxed, and perhaps best of all, warm and cozy.

Sweatpants themselves may seem like a term that refers to any soft, comfortable pants, but this is not true. Technically, sweatpants most commonly refer to a cotton-based, loose fitting style of casual trouser. The traditional style of sweatpants, including the most popular yellow sweatpants that you will find, rely only on comfortable, lined elastic to keep them on the wearer.

Elastic waistbands are a staple of almost all sweatpants, and in fact, many people would argue that without elastic at the waist, the pants do not qualify as sweatpants at all. Some include both elastic and a drawstring, to give the wearer a bit more control of the fit, height, and security of the pants at the waist.

Traditionally, yellow sweatpants also had elastic at the ankle, to keep the pants snug on the wearer. The benefits of this are twofold: Firstly, it keeps any excess or baggy fabric from being tripped on by the wearer or caught on shoes or other objects; and secondly, when the sweatpants are worn for comfort, it keeps drafts of cool air from sneaking up the leg, thus keeping the wearer warm and comfortable.

But today, elastic at the ankle is on its way out of fashion. You can find elastic ankled yellow sweatpants, but you will probably find even more that have a loose, baggy fit. Often, sweatpants are designed to have excess fabric at the bottom, and they fold or crumple slightly against the shoe. This makes them extra comfortable by giving extra room to move around, and is also in keeping with modern dress, which favors a relaxed fit, particularly when it comes to athletic and casual clothing.

Whether used to work out and exercise, to keep warm before and after a sporting event, or to snuggle up at home and wear to bed, yellow sweatpants offer something for everyone.
